Meet the Team

  • Dr. Andrea Lazier

    OWNER & VETERINARIAN

Dr. Lazier grew up in Eastern Ontario almost always knowing veterinary medicine was to be her ultimate goal. She attended the University of Guelph and then attended the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. Her first veterinary job was in mixed animal practice on Manitoulin Island but moved to Algoma in 2014. Shortly after moving here, she was presented with the opportunity to become a partner at Algoma Vet Clinic, and loves living and working in the area. Now practicing small animal medicine, she tries to balance work and life at home with her family.

  • Dr. Barbara Good

    VETERINARIAN

Having served the Algoma region for over 40 years, Dr. Barb is a dedicated and committed small animal veterinarian. Looking to ease into retirement, Dr. Barb currently practices at the Blind River location several days a week with her trusty companion, Gemma, at her side. This gives her more time to pursue her passion in photography, particularly wildlife and night photography. She also hope to embark on more traveling adventures in the near future.

  • Dr. Alecia Finateri

    VETERINARIAN

Alecia Finateri is one of our mixed animal veterinarians and was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 2022. Although she likes working with all species of animals, her favourites are felines, small ruminants and camelids. When she is not in the office, you can find her at rock festivals, travelling to new places with her husband or cuddling with her cats while reading a good book.

  • Jennin Tremelling

She has had companion animals throughout her life and enjoys the pleasure of riding horses as well.

Having grown up on a small farm, Mindy quickly developed a love for animals. She has worked in various areas of animal welfare since the late 1980s and can't see herself doing anything else. In Mindy’s spare time, she enjoys gardening, kayaking and four-wheeling.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys going for hikes and watching movies with her cat, Torch.
