Prescription Refills

Please provide us with at least 48-72 hours to refill your pet’s prescription via phone or email. If they need special-order medication, such as compounded medications, it may take as long as a week (or more) to receive your refill. For each refill, please be sure to confirm with us the type of medication and the dosage you have been giving to your pet. If it is urgent and you require a refill within the same day, a same-day charge may be applied to your account.

Before a refill can be approved, your pet must have had a full physical health exam with a veterinarian within the last year (please see Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship Policy for more information).

If the prescription is for medications addressing hormonal conditions such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, Cushing’s, or Addison’s, bloodwork may be required prior to refill. This depends on how long your companion has been on the medication and any concurrent health issues they may have. These blood tests help to ensure we are providing with the correct medication dose for your companion.
