Appointment Cancellation/No-Show Policy

When you schedule an appointment with Algoma Veterinary Clinic, we set aside enough time to provide you with high quality care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. 

Please see below our Appointment Cancellation/No Show Policy, effective August 1, 2024:

  • Any established client who fails to show or cancels/reschedules an appointment and has not contacted our office with at least 24 hours notice will be considered a no-show and a fee will be applied to the client’s account. 

  • Any established patient who fails to show or cancels/reschedules an appointment with no 24 hour notice a second time will have a fee applied to their account. 

  • If a third no-show or cancellation/reschedule without a 24 hour notice should occur, the client may be dismissed from Algoma Veterinary Clinic and be denied all services onward. 

  • If a client has been a no-show previously, the client will be required to pay an appointment deposit ahead of their next booked appointment. 

  • Any new clients who fail to show for their initial visit will not be rescheduled or be considered for future services. 

  • The fee is charged directly to the client and is due at the time of the client’s next appointment. 

We understand there may be times when an unforeseen emergency occurs and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. If you should experience extenuating circumstances, please contact our office promptly and the no-show fee may be waived depending on the situation.
